Hombale Films, known for its work on KGF, Salaar, and Kantara, has officially wrapped production on its upcoming project Kantara: Chapter 1. To mark the occasion, the team released a behind-the-scenes making-of video that provides insight into the film’s extensive production journey.

Directed and headlined by Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 has been in development for over three years, with filming spanning more than 250 days. The video offers a closer look at the scale of the film and the collaborative efforts of its cast and crew. Thousands of technicians and artists were involved in the project, which is set to release worldwide on October 2.

Sharing the update on social media, Rishab Shetty posted the making video along with a brief note: “Wrap up… The journey begins. #KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit.”

Producer Vijay Kiragandur called it one of Hombale’s most ambitious projects so far, noting that the film not only required considerable time and manpower but also holds strong cultural significance.

“This is the kind of cinema we’ve always dreamed of creating,” he said. “With Kantara, our goal has been to highlight Indian cultural roots in a way that resonates with today’s audience and future generations.”

The film features music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematography by Arvind Kashyap, and production design by Vinesh Banglan. It is expected to release in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.
